Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers - United States

NEW YORK - September 8 2022, /PRNewswire/new record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States were announced today by the Israel Ministry of Tourism. Israel welcomed 78,000 American tourists during July 2022. It was a four percent increase over 2019 seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.

"It is so exciting to once again see an increase in tourist numbers to Israel from the United States, already reaching the record-breaking levels in 2019" stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. "The United States is our top market for inbound tourism to Israel and prior to the COVID-19 epidemic was announced, we had record-breaking numbers of tourism entries each month. We're thrilled to witness an improvement in the trend and anticipate a steady increase in the coming many months and years to follow."

Canada which isn't too far behind that of the United States of America, is poised to surpass the number of tourists visiting Israel. The country had 7,200 visitors in July 2022 as well as 6,000 visitors in August.

Israel has welcomed more than 4.6 million tourists in 2019. 969,600 of them were of the United States. The country's official reopening for all tourists in May saw more than 600,000.
