Neve Paritzki Israel Celebrates Record Breaking Tourism Entry Numbers - United States

NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire-- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking tourism arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from the year before and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022 that's an increase of 13% from 2019.

Not far behind in the United States, Canada is also on track to exceed the number of tourists visiting Israel, reaching 7,200 visitors in July 2022 , and 6,000 in August.

"It is so exciting to see how tourism from Canada to Israel is rebounding," said Gal Hana Consul and Director of Canada for the Israel Ministry of Tourism. "We are not far off our record 2019 numbers We are hoping that the growth in tourism to Israel will continue to grow as Canadians remain comfortable travelling abroad."

Israel hosted more than 4.6million visitors in the year 2019, of which 969,600 came from the United States. Since May, when the country is now open to all tourists, regardless of their vaccination status, more than 600,000.400 US visitors have visited Israel.
